For almost a century, the name John H. Daniel has been synonymous with world-class in the tailoring industry. As custom clothiers, we have dressed American presidents, five-star generals, professional athletes, television personalities, and individuals of remarkable achievement the world over. Throughout the years, we have held firm in our commitment to customer service, fit, and quality. This tradition is upheld daily in our shop, at our tailoring benches, and at our main office. 1928
John H. Daniel is founded in Rome, Georgia by John Hanna Daniel.
1930
W.C. Bryan joins in partnership with John H. Daniel.
1932
John H. Daniel Company moves to Jackson Avenue in Knoxville, Tennessee.
1941
W.C. Bryan enlists in the United States Navy and becomes a naval aviator.
1942
W.C. Bryan joins the United States Marine Corps and begins piloting Vought F4U Corsairs in the Pacific theater.
1968
W.C. Bryan’s son, Richard Bryan, officially becomes a partner in the John H. Daniel Company.
1973
John H. Daniel Company purchases Mayfield Clothing factory in Mayfield, Kentucky.
1984
John H. Daniel Company begins American Clothing Company in Knoxville, Tennessee.
1993
John H. Daniel Company starts sourcing luxury fabrics from Italy and England.
2005
Master tailors from Turkey are employed by the John H. Daniel Company to make all garments, providing unparalleled craftsmanship.
2013
John H. Daniel Company moves from the historic Jackson Avenue location to Central Avenue in Knoxville, Tennessee.
